Jamie Carragher is set to lead out a star-studded line-up of Liverpool legends on Sunday for a charity football match at Bootle Football Club – and you can take part.
‘Carra’, who won the Champions League with the Reds in 2005, is lacing up his boots once more in order to raise funds for a number of local charities, including the Community Food Pantry, which aims to make sure that children don’t go without food.
Alongside the Sky Sports pundit will be iconic Liverpool players such as John Aldridge, Robbie Fowler and Neil Mellor, whilst their manager is former Reds boss Roy Evans, and all will be hosting a Q&A session afterwards.
Those who have made a suitable donation have a chance to star in the Special XI against Carragher’s side, as tickets are still available.

James Olsen, Director of Jamie Carragher Sports and Learning Academy, told JMU Journalism about how much work has gone into planning and preparing for the event, saying: “A lot of people have got involved to help. The Jamie Carragher Academy and 23 Foundation have got together to set this whole thing up.
“The advertisements have been going steady. We’ve still got tickets for the after show Q&A and there’s tickets left to pay at the gate, and with the weather being the way it is it could be a really good family event.
“Expect a bit of fun from the legends there too.”
The match kicks off at 2pm on Sunday at the Delta Taxis Stadium in Bootle, and tickets are available at the gate at noon, costing £5 for adults and £3 for children.
