A drive-in cinema is coming to the Liverpool waterfront next month, with the promise of the biggest digital, open-air screen in the country.
The cinema at East Waterloo Dock is due to open on Friday, 4th April with food and drink facilities on site and the ability to hold up to 78 cars.
Movie goers will have to pay £18 per vehicle, but depending on how many occupants this could work out cheaper than most indoors cinemas.
Route 66 first opened an outdoor cinema in Trafford Park, Manchester with it becoming a huge hit. The company is now aiming to bring the same success down the M62 to the waterfront location.
With street food and American style chalets planned, the cinema hopes to create an exciting and unique experience for the viewers.
Showing the latest blockbusters and old school classics, the theatre also plans to host theme nights for members of the public.
A VIP launch is scheduled for 3rd April.
