Liverpool FC are accustomed to victory and this time it’s their Hospitality & Events department which is celebrating success, after being crowned winners at the Best Employers in Hospitality Awards 2014.
The team was named the ‘Best Small Group Food Service Provider’ at the Lancaster Hotel in London, with the award handed out by Great British Bake Off presenter, Sue Perkins
Paul Cuttill, Catering General Manager at Liverpool FC, said: “The hospitality industry is a competitive one. To be a success requires dedicated people who feel it is worthwhile going that extra mile to provide outstanding service.
“Being recognised externally for being a top employer in this sector is a fantastic bonus, as it’s through this sort of external recognition we can continue to attract the very best talent to the club.”
Hundreds of employers entered the Caterer.com-sponsored awards, which are judged exclusively by the responses given by employees. Though an online survey, employers are assessed on how well they support, develop and reward their people.
In order to be eligible for consideration, more than 70% of the department had to complete the survey.
Mr Cuttill said: “Getting feedback on what works and where we can improve as an employer is invaluable, as anything we do to support our employees can only be good for our fans.”
