An enterprising Wirral teenager has used the resurgence of rollerskating during lockdown to start a thriving global business.
Ella Thompson, 14, from Woodchurch spotted a gap in the market to create a venture selling hand crafted accessories that is attracting orders from around the world.
“I’m just an ordinary girl from the Woodchurch Estate who loves rollerskating,” said Ella, who attends Upton Hall School.
“I’m really creative and wanted to make rollerskate accessories. I’ve found an idea that has taken off.”
Her Etsy and Instagram pages for Shelly Skates Shop showcase Ella’s colourful items which are proving so popular the young entrepreneur may soon have to recruit a special member of staff to help meet demand.
