Students took over Liverpool One for a week in an event that saw live DJs and bands on the streets, plus an after-party at student hot spot Medication.
The event started on Monday and lasted until Friday, offering students many different discounts in shops and restaurants, as well as giveaways, complimentary drinks and competitions.
Alison Cornmell, from Think Publicity, told JMU Journalism: “We want to give students a stylish welcome that will give them a taste of what Liverpool One and the city has to offer. From food to fashion, there are plenty of savings to be made during the student takeover and by working with Medication we can offer a great night out too.”
Wednesday was the highlight of the whole week as DJs and live bands performed on Paradise Street and in different shops during the day, before heading up to Medication for a celebration which went on until the early hours.
Liverpool student Olivia Bergman, 20, said: “I love the shopping at Liverpool One and I think this student takeover is really cool. It welcomes all the new students to the city and Medication is the perfect night out for anyone who wants to know what a student night out should be.”
Style spotters were out in force asking students to strike a pose for pictures that were projected onto the big screen at the club throughout the night, and showed off the many different fashions and looks that students bring to the city.
