Four dogs that were all given love-themed names have found new owners in time for Valentine’s Day.
After arriving at the local Dogs Trust just last week, an appeal was launched to help the brothers and sisters find a place to call home.
The adorable siblings were called Aphrodite, Cupid, Romeo and Beau by staff in a bid to help them find ‘love’, and that worked a treat.
Georgina Lowery, Dogs Trust Merseyside Rehoming Centre Manager, told JMU Journalism: “They are absolutely beautiful and full of personality. They are all cheeky and very playful and we’re delighted they’ve found their special someone’s in time for Valentine’s Day.
“Border Collies are really intelligent and definitely suit people with an active lifestyle. They are incredibly athletic but as well as keeping physically active, they need to keep their brains busy too if they are to be really happy.
“Their new owners will need to spend lots of time with them as puppies, getting them used to everything the big wide world has to offer them so they become happy adult dogs and we’re confident they’re heading off to fantastic homes where they will have everything they need.”
