The poorest parking in Liverpool has been pictured and shamed in a Facebook page.
The page, “Parking like a t***! In Liverpool”, has reached almost 8,000 likes on Facebook and features more than 500 pictures of dodgy parking in car parks and roads in the city.
It was established in December 2014 when its creator stated that they wanted to: “Out the idiots in Liverpool who think they have the right to park like utter t***s”, and has recently seen its ‘likes’ escalate.
The unnamed owner of the page, who wishes to remain anonymous, told JMU Journalism: “I started the page due to there being a demand for it in Liverpool and because it’s a pet peeve of mine when people park badly and don’t spare a thought for others.”
Despite the page being popular with many in Liverpool, some people are unhappy that their parking skills have been questioned.
Paul John Roberts commented on a recent picture: “That’s my car! I had to park like this as the spaces were taken up next to me while I took my disabled mother to bingo!”
Sara Bailey commented: “This is my mum’s car! She’s not a bad driver she just stopped to drop something off. It’s a bit harsh calling these people t***s.”
The page owner regularly defends themself by responding and answering back to negative comments, justifying the reasons for posting the pictures. The owner told JMU Journalism: “I have had a few complaints, mainly because they have been caught out. Only if I get a compelling reason will I remove a photo.
“I did take one down as they were moaning about how they believed their car had now been cloned because of the picture and had caused defamation of character.”
The page has now expanded and joined other social media sites such as Tumblr and Snapchat.
