Outrageous diva Nicki Minaj and heartthrob Justin Bieber are just two of the big names set to grace the stage at the Liverpool Echo Arena over the next year.
Minaj will bring her ‘Pink Friday…. Roman Reloaded Tour’ to the city in October. It was in 2011, when she released her debut album ‘Pink Friday’ that Minaj became a global superstar. Not only did the record go multi-platinum but it produced the most charted singles by any female rap artist in Billboard Top 100 history.
Also coming to the arena this year is pop princess, Cheryl Cole. From her humble beginnings as one fifth of Girls Aloud to capturing the nation’s hearts as a judge on X Factor, she has become one of the most talked about celebrities in the country.
Since launching her solo career three years ago, Cheryl has had two hugely successful albums with ‘3 Words’ and ‘Messy Little Raindrops’ which was released in 2010. After taking a break from music, Cheryl has returned with her much awaited album ‘A Million Lights’, which features the Calvin Harris produced hit ‘Call My Name’ which went straight to number 1 on the iTunes chart within hours of its release.
In December, Peter Andre will be taking to the stage in his ‘Up Close and Personal’ tour. As well as singing some classic hits from ‘Mysterious Girl’ to ‘Behind Closed Doors’, he says he wants to take the time to get to know his fans more personally; an opportunity not to be missed for any Andre admirer.

Justin Bieber will hit the Echo with his number one selling album ‘Believe’ next February. The Canadian pop phenomenon found fame in 2008 through the video-sharing site YouTube and was later signed to the R&B/ hip-hop heavyweight Usher’s record label.
Since then, he has had hits including ‘One Time’ and ‘Baby’, and caused mayhem in town on his visit to Liverpool in March 2011, when hoards of screaming girls descended on the Hard Day’s Night Hotel, leaving the heartthrob trapped inside by Bieber Fever.
However, if comedy is more your thing entertainment-wise, Scouser John Bishop and star of ‘Comedy Roadshow’, Michael McIntyre will be bringing their arena tours to the Liverpool, with many more big names set to follow them.
