It’s an annual tradition that brings all the years of study together in a great celebration, and the fourth JMU Journalism Christmas Ball proved to be another success, with a new record fundraising total set again.
Students and staff managed to bring in £1,271 for Macmillan Cancer, as they descended on the Holiday Inn in Liverpool for a night to remember.
More than 120 people enjoyed the festivities this year, with much drinking, dancing and laughter lifting spirits until the midnight hour. The Journalism Society raffle also proved to be a big hit, considerably helping to boost the charity sum.
Ball organiser John Mathews said: “It was brilliant to see everyone having such a great time, and the fact that we raised a new record amount for Macmillan made the night even more special.”
