One of Liverpool’s top independent tea rooms is to join forces with FACT for a new venture.
The Garden by LEAF will offer an innovative eatery at the Wood Street exhibition centre and cinema as the two creative organisations join forces.
Vegetarian sandwiches and soups will be served alongside LEAF’s selection of teas in the al-fresco café which is set to open on Thursday 14th March alongside the launch of FACT’s latest exhibition ‘The Art of Pop Video’.
LEAF have emphasised that the food menu will be healthy, light and quick to prepare and will be served in a bright new space inspired by the creativity of the two venues involved.
Natalie Haywood, Managing Director of LEAF, said: “We are excited to join forces with FACT and launch our new café concept The Garden. The original FACT café was actually the inspiration for our first LEAF venue. As a place we really loved, it feels right to host a café in this space now four years later.”
Iona Horsburgh, executive director of FACT, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, said: “FACT is delighted to be able to announce the arrival of The Garden and the start of a successful partnership with LEAF. We anticipate that The Garden by LEAF at FACT will become as much of a must-visit food and drink destination as LEAF itself.”
Ella Perry, an employee at LEAF, told JMU Journalism: “We have transferred ten jobs over from the current café and have created an extra two jobs at the new café.”
