Fans of Kanye West are invited to ‘Run this Town’ as a night dedicated to the international rapping sensation comes to Liverpool for a one-off, Yeezy-loving celebration.
Love him or hate him, the most controversial music star of our generation now has his own national event. ‘Kanye Fest’ has already hit the streets of Bristol and Cardiff, and will be coming to Liverpool this Wednesday at 24 Kitchen Street.
The idea came from two lads from Bristol after they were inspired by attending other appreciation events. One of the organisers, Alex Taylor, 20, told JMU Journalism: “We thought Kanye would be a great person to do one for as he’s such an interesting character and as big fans we wanted to be the ones to host it.”
Sadly, Kanye won’t be there himself but people can expect life-size cardboard cut-outs of Kanye and wife, Kim Kardashian. Also at the event will be free Kanye merchandise, Kanye balloons, plus Kanye and Kim masks.
Other R&B music will be played at the event featuring Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Eminem and Chris Brown.
Alex said: “So far the people of Liverpool have been great. At previous Kanye Fest events we’ve had people dress up as Kanye and Kim and I’m hoping Liverpool will be much the same and really buy into the night.”
There are only a limited number of tickets left for this event, available on the Skiddle website here.
