Scouser Nicola Roberts and rapper Tinchy Strider were amongst a host of other celebrities who attended The Juice FM Style Awards in the Wirral.
The fifth annual Style Awards, which took place at the Hillbark Hotel in Frankby, was the biggest one yet, as more listeners than ever voted online for who they wanted to win the various awards.
Girls Aloud star and style icon Nicola Roberts took to the stage at the awards to perform some of her hits and to help hand out one of the awards. Tinchy Stryder also entertained all the guests at the ceremony.
The glitzy bash was organised to celebrate all things fabulous and glamorous in Liverpool. Winners on the night included Reds skipper Steven Gerrard, who won the award for the most Stylist Sporting Star award and the beautiful Coleen Rooney who was voted as the most Stylish Scouser by Juice FM listeners.
The Style Awards were filmed for E4’s new Liverpool-based reality TV Show ‘Desperate Scousewives’. A TV crew followed around some of the stars of the show, Chloe Cummings, Debbie O’Toole and Danny Latimer, all night.
Other winners on the night were television producer and LJMUFellow, Phil Redmond who was given the Icon Award by Royle Family star and Liverpool legend Ricky Tomlinson, while the Hotel Award which was awarded to the Hilton Liverpool.
The winner of Juice FM’s Face of Liverpool award was 24 year-old Lauri Paine. She told JMU Journalism: “I still can’t believe I’ve won. It’s crazy to think all those people voted for me. I just want to say thank you to them all. The night was so amazing and Tinchy Stryder was incredible. It was one of the best days of my life.”
Lana Heath, 22-year-old from Southport, won the Boutique Award for her shop April Boutique on Renshaw Street in the city centre.
She told JMU Journalism: “I am so happy that the shop won and I’m so grateful to everyone that voted, I hear that we won by over 5,000 votes. That is such a massive achievement when you have only been opened a year! The night was amazing as well. It was the biggest achievement in my career so far to win this award.”
