The Liverpool Irish Festival is returning to the city again for its 11th year.
The event will take place from the 10th to the 20th of October as Liverpool celebrates its Irish heritage with a mix of traditional music, drama and films over the 10-day festival.
Highlights will include events such as a family day at the Museum of Liverpool for ‘A Liverpool Irish Celebration’, where you can learn about the history of the Irish on Merseyside whilst watching traditional musicians performing.
This year, Liverpool born Irish teacher and journalist, Tony Birtill will take to the stage as he launches his new publication, ‘The Irish language in Liverpool’.
A full line up is also available for the two nights of Irish Shorts, which will include some of the best short films that have been produced in Ireland, brought to us be IndieCork’s Una Feely.
The first Festival Club will also take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. At this event, popular local musicians will perform and will be hosted by Alan O’Hare and Ian Prowse.
