A young dancing pair from Liverpool appearing on Sky1’s dance show may have the chance of winning £250,000 if they impress the judges this Sunday.
The programme, hosted by Davina McCall, has seen Tayleur Amos, aged ten, and Elliot Hanna, eight, win through to the finals of their group in the competition. The judging panel includes ex-Pussycat Doll member Kimberley Wyatt, who was brought to tears by the pair’s performance in the semi-final.
Both Tayleur and Elliot train together at Dance Dynamix school of dance in Old Swan, and their dance teacher and choreographer, Nazene Langfield, told JMU Journalism: “The children have been in every single day and the routine has been changed millions of times. They are such little professionals; they come in everyday and always do their best.
“They’ve been working really hard, and people aren’t going to be expecting the next routine, we’ve taken a different route this time.”
Nazene, who appeared on the show last year and also made it to the final with her group, ‘Dance Dynamix’, has taught both children at her dance school since they were three and she explains how her experience has helped with some wise words for the youngsters.
“I’ve been on the show before and I know what to expect, so it’s really good that I have that to pass on to the children.”
Tayleur, from Netherley, and Elliot, from Tuebrook, both have the backing and support from their proud parents, family and friends and the whole city are backing the pair to win the final showdown this Sunday at the Kensington Olympia.
‘Got to Dance’ airs at 6:00pm this Sunday on Sky1.
