NCTJ
The National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) is a major journalism training body that works closely with partners across the industry. It accredits courses that meet its high standards and offers a Diploma in Journalism that is a sought-after qualification among many employers. All LJMU journalism and sports journalism courses are accredited by the NCTJ and our students have the opportunity to achieve this Diploma alongside their degree.
BJTC
The Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) works in partnership with all the main employers in UK broadcast journalism, including ITV, BskyB, ITN, BBC, Reuters, AP, Channel 4, The Radio Centre, Skillset and the NUJ. It accredits courses that meet its high standards, which are based on the operational demands of the industry, ensuring that students leave university with the skills and knowledge that employers need.
