The Everyword Festival has returned to Liverpool for the seventh year running this week, in the hope of inspiring young writers.
The writing festival will be a week of news stories and workshops, including talks from writers and companies.
The programme, supported by Liverpool John Moores University, was launched today with a speech by Everyman and Playhouse artistic director, Gemma Bodinetz.
Liverpool Playhouse will be welcoming both local and international artists to inspire aspirational writers. Local playwriters Helen Blakeman, Lizzie Nunnery and Laurence Wilson will be joined by Australian multi-award winning playwright Tom Holloway’s latest play ‘Forget Me Not’.
Everyman and Playhouse Literary Associate, Lindsay Rodden, told JMU Journalism: “Everyword is for anyone who writes, or wants to write, who are excited by the theatre-making process, who are curious about what goes on in a theatre-maker’s brain, and the process of making the art.”
The festival will be held at Liverpool Playhouse from 22nd October until 27th October.
