A 500-mile cycle ride from Liverpool to Paris promises to be the toughest challenge yet a non-profit charity in Sefton.
Four members of T.E.A.M, along with 13 other amateur cyclists, will be taking part in July, and they are aiming to raise £15,000 for the charity.
T.E.A.M has been in action for around eight years. Its mission is to help disabled and disadvantaged children and their families to secure the equipment and ongoing care that they require, such as a specialised wheelchair or sensory rooms for children with severe autism.
They also offer families a respite break at a caravan in Talacre Beach Resort in North Wales, free of charge. It was purchased through fundraising campaigns and continues to be maintained throughout the year.
T.E.A.M is also responsible for renovating the Plaza Cinema Waterloo in 2014, where more than £85,000 of materials and labour were sourced and completed within four days.

Training is well underway for all 17 cyclists taking part in the fundraising event. The money will go towards equipment and a new lodge, which will be bigger and better to cater for everyone’s needs.
Mark Ryan, a member of T.E.A.M, told JMU Journalism: “We do a number of events each year – a lot of mountain climbs, boxing events, football events. We’re always trying to add variety, but this one without doubt is the biggest. I think this is what you need to give that big of a push of who T.E.A.M are.
“So, in order to do that you need to step up your game, as far as I’m concerned, and this is that step really.”
The ride will take place over four days and the charity is already backed by many North West businesses, such as Total Fitness, Pax Amour, Formby Cycles among many others. Fundraising donations can be made here.
