From bullying victim to beauty queen, a Wirral woman has got the best revenge on her haters by winning Miss Natural Beauty UK.
Charlotte Thomas, 22, has overcome years of torment throughout secondary school, where bullies made her teenage years a living nightmare because of the way she looked.
She studied with determination for her A-Levels, achieving four grade A’s in Maths, Further Maths, German and French.
Despite being mocked for her skin condition, she followed her dream and has since won many beauty competitions around the UK.
She told JMU Journalism: “One of the worst experiences I had when I was getting bullied was having to eat my lunch on my own every day and spending all of my breaks alone or getting abuse.
“I felt so low and alone. That’s why I find it so important to advice the bystanders of bullying to do something and stick up for the person who is getting bullied.”
As a young ambassador for BulliesOut, a UK anti-bullying charity, Charlotte likes to help other victims and guide them on their journey to never give up hope.

She told JMU Journalism: “It was the best feeling in the world, because I had wanted this so much. I had worked so hard for ages in the run up to this pageant.
“I honestly couldn’t believe that I had won, that the moment I had waited for so long for had actually happened. It definitely was one of the best memories that I will ever had and I was ecstatic when my crown was placed on my head.”
Charlotte has also won the title Miss Natural Beauty Charity UK for raising the most money for charity.
When asked what advice she has for others in a similar position, she said: “Never give up. The bullying won’t last forever. You are worth a lot more than you think and your whole life is there ahead of you.
“If you are determined, you can achieve brilliant things and be successful.”
