The fashion festival ‘Celebration of Style’ saw high fashion boutique Cricket host their Big Fashion Night Out.
Held at the Cunard building on Water Street, celebrities including Made in Chelsea star Rosie Fortescue and Topshop heiress Chloe Green turned out alongside fashionistas from Liverpool and afar to view collections from Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney and YSL take to the catwalk in the event sponsored by Matalan.
Fashion blogger and Boohoo.com social media exec Alex Blythin told JMU Journalism: “I thought the event was beautiful, the venue and set up looked incredible. There was a really nice atmosphere with the live music adding to the buzz. It was really exciting to celeb spot too.
“I think fashion shows are really important to create excitement around a collection, it’s great to see the clothes in front of you and how they move on a model instead of just a photo-shoot in a magazine.”
Alexa Chung’s brother Dom hosted a DJ set and special live guest Kelli-Leigh performed her vocals on the number one hit ‘I Got You’ by Duke Dumont which had members of the audience including Atomic Kitten vocalist Jennie Frost and singer Rebecca Ferguson dancing on the catwalk.
The three-day long ‘Celebration of Style’ event, founded by Cricket owner Justine Mills and Denise Harris, brought together style influences from the worlds of fashion, art, photography and architecture to seal Liverpool firmly on the high fashion map.
