An LJMU graduate is set to open her own clothing store in the luxurious Metquarter later this month.
Francesca Kearns’s store will open on 14 November in the city centre shopping complex.
She said: “I am so excited to be opening a store at Metquarter. It’s a dream come true for me to have a retail presence in the heart of the city.
“I’ve had a lot of input into the look and feel of the store, which I think is the perfect fit for my brand. I can’t wait to open and start dressing Liverpool girls for the upcoming Christmas party season.”
After graduating with a BA Honours in Fashion Design in 2008, Francesca says knew exactly what she wanted to do, creating her own label Miss Francesca Couture.
Originally sewing dresses in a small office at her dad’s building yard, her talent flourished and word began to spread, gaining her a big Liverpool following.
Francesca then began to showcase her designs at local events throughout 2009, building a name for herself and establishing the brand throughout Merseyside.
In 2010 she opened a small boutique store with a workshop, making feminine and made-to-measure pieces.
Miss Francesca Couture is now being worn by some of the hottest stars of the moment, including Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan on the red carpet.
“Feminine and flirty, frivolous and fun” is how Francesca herself describes the signature style of her brand.
The Metquarter store promises a larger collection from Miss Francesca Couture, featuring her Autumn/Winter ready-to-wear range, along with her bespoke made-to-measure in store service. The store will be alongside big names including Hugo Boss and Armani Exchange.
Metquarter centre manager Jennina O’Neill said: “Francesca’s label has gone from strength to strength in the last few years and we’re delighted she’s decided to open her flagship store at Metquarter.”
