Liverpool One has announced their Ice Festival will return this November.
The Ice Festival will transform the Chavasse Park area of Liverpool One into a winter wonderland.
Marketing Director of Liverpool One, Donna Howitt said: “The Ice Festival was a huge success last year, offering people a unique and memorable experience in the centre of the city. We received brilliant feedback, but we’re working to offer even more choice, creating an even better festival for 2013.”
Launching officially on Thursday 7th November, Chavasse Park will reveal this year’s open-air ice rink, Santa’s Workshop and on November 24th will launch the Christmas Grotto for face painting, arts and crafts and small rides for children.
The ice bar will also make a return, which will be twice as big as it was last year. Visitors will be able to view ice sculptures of alpine animals that have been hand-carved in the minus-three degree bar.
People have already started tweeting their excitement about this particular feature. @Imogensharkett posted: “Ice festival in Liverpool! Literally cannot wait! Get me to the ice bar.”
@JengaG86 posted: “Ooo just in time for my weekend up there…must…book…ice…bar! We didn’t manage to get in last year!”
As well as the attractions of the ice bar and ice rinks, there will be many other events taking place in the area over the festive season, including live entertainment.
