Police chief’s plea to tackle violent crime

Video report – The Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, Andy Cooke, has called for communities in Merseyside to help the force eliminate the problem of violent crime.

During an annual lecture at Liverpool John Moores University, Chief Constable Cooke laid out a four-point plan where he put emphasis on preventing offences, rather than responding to them.
