Glyn studied music at the universities of Wales and Cambridge before joining the BBC in London where he was a sub-editor on Radio Times. He also worked for BBC Wales in Cardiff, producing music programmes for BBC Radio 3.
Glyn also worked as a sub-editor for the Western Mail, the Birmingham Daily News and as arts editor for the North West Times. As a freelancer, he worked for the Sunday Times and the Daily Telegraph and several public relations companies.
He also worked as publicist for, amongst others, the NHS, Conservative Central Office and The Mersey Partnership.
Glyn came to Liverpool John Moores University in 1996 as a sessional lecturer, becoming full-time in 2000. He still writes for several newspapers and magazines and has contributed to a range of broadcast outlets, including BBC radio and TV, S4C, HTV, Granada and Classic FM.
He also holds an MA from the University of Leicester.
